I run photography workshops for staff and students at schools, and provide mentorship to individuals. You can bring any type of camera along as long as you know how to use the basics. I focus on composition and making your photos look great. After the face-to-face workshop there is a 7 day black and white challenge to consolidate the creativity which my students love.
I am a trained teacher with a CELTA certificate from Cambridge University, and have taught academic English at UNSW, UTS and QUT.
Below are a selection of photos from participants on my one day beginner workshop where they did a 7 day challenge as a group afterwards.
Kind Words
Rebecca Cheney ‘I would highly recommend Monique for her professionalism and knowledge of photography. She is friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and awesome at what she does.
Our group loved the group chat where we could share our daily challenge photographs and get feedback from Monique. I now know all the functions of my iphone.
Monique helped me to think outside the box, experiment with lines and pattens, and to really take time to capture the shot. I also loved the one-on-one walk around when taking photos. Monique took what we could see to a higher level with her tip and tricks. ‘
Jane Tomlinson ‘I definitely recommend Monique’s course because her knowledge is of a high standard and how she takes a photo is outstanding. She was happy to share her knowledge with you, and is easy to understand. It was interesting to walk around the school and community and see the same things but see them differently. The face to face was of great benefit and I learnt so much in the time we had.
It was a very relaxed and knowledgeable course. Since doing the course I take more photos and I have some knowledge as to why I am taking it in a particular way.’
